Go! And Believe the Word:
Why the Bible Still Speaks Today

If you owned a letter written directly from the King of Kings, sealed with His authority, telling you the truth about life, death, and eternity - would you ignore it?

That's exactly what the Bible is. It's not just an old book. It's God's living Word - God-breathed truth - given to reveal His heart, His ways, and His plan for salvation.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT): "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."

In the 21st-century, many see the Bible as outdated, even irrelevant. Culture prizes personal opinion above absolute truth. But the Bible is not swayed by opinion polls.

As Psalm 19:7 says, "The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple." The Hebrew word tamim means whole, complete, without defect - and in an age of shifting morals, that's exactly what we need.

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture tells one unified story - the redemption of humanity through Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!" (John 5:39). The Bible's purpose is not just to inform but to transform. Hebrews 4:12 declares: "For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires."

In Britain today, we're surrounded by spiritual noise - social media soundbites, celebrity opinions, political agendas. Amid all that, the Bible remains God's clear, unchanging voice. As Isaiah 40:8 reminds us: "The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever."

So what should we do?
Read it daily - Let the Bible set the tone of your day, not the news headlines.
Trust it completely - If God's Word says it, it's true, whether or not it's popular.
Live it boldly - Let your life reflect the truth you claim to believe.

Most importantly, believe the central message of the Bible:
Romans 3:23 (NLT): "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard."

1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (NLT): "Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said."

Jesus calls each of us to repent and trust in Him as Lord and Saviour. The world doesn't just need a moral boost - it needs the Gospel. And the Gospel is found in the unchanging, infallible Word of God. So, Go! And believe the Word - not just with your mind, but with your whole life.
