Brokenness is not a sign of failure - it is the common condition of the human heart. Some wounds are visible, others are buried deep within the soul: regret, shame, addiction, grief, and disappointment that quietly shape our lives. Yet the Gospel declares a breathtaking truth - Jesus does not recoil from broken people; He moves towards them.
The Bible tells us, "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed" (Psalm 34:18, NLT). Jesus stepped into our fractured world not merely to offer advice, but to bring restoration. He touched lepers, forgave sinners, restored the rejected, and welcomed the weary. Wherever Jesus went, broken lives found hope.
Jesus heals in a way no one else can. He does not simply patch us up; He makes us new. At the cross, He carried our sin, our shame, and our sorrow. Through His resurrection, He offers forgiveness, freedom, and a transformed life. Healing may be instant or it may unfold over time, but it always begins with surrender.
If you feel broken today, do not hide from God - run to Him. Bring your pain to Jesus. He is not finished with you. The same Saviour who healed then is still healing now. In Christ, brokenness is never the end of the story; it is often the place where grace begins.
